5.1 Third-party services

Provider Services used Data involved
Google Firebase (Google LLC) Authentication, Cloud Firestore (database sync), Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics Account identifiers, habit/sync data, usage events, crash and diagnostic logs
Google Sign-In Optional login Email, name, profile photo URL per your Google account settings

These providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies. We configure them for app functionality, not for unrelated advertising profiles.

5.2 Legal and safety

We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users or the public.

6. Data retention

  • Account and habit data: Retained while your account is active.
  • After account deletion: We delete your Firebase Authentication account and Firestore user data (including synced habits under your user path) when you use in-app deletion or confirm an email deletion request.
  • Analytics / Crashlytics: Retained per Google Firebase default settings; we configure retention where the console allows shorter periods.
  • Purchases: Google Play and RevenueCat retain records per their policies for billing, fraud prevention, and tax.

7. Data security

We use industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit (TLS) for communications with Firebase and other cloud services, Firebase Authentication, and access controls on production systems.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Use a strong password and protect your device.

8. Your choices and rights

You can view and edit most habit and profile data inside the app. Depending on your region, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing, or to data portability. Contact support@ritualistsystem.com to exercise these rights.

To manage or cancel subscriptions, use Google Play → Payments & subscriptions.

9. Data deletion instructions

How to delete your account and associated data You can request complete deletion of your Ritualist account and cloud-synced data using either method below.

Option A — Delete inside the app (recommended)

  1. Open Ritualist and sign in.
  2. Go to Settings → your Profile / Account.
  3. Tap Delete Account and confirm.

This permanently deletes your Firebase Authentication account and associated Firestore data (habits, sections, settings, and synced documents), and cancels local reminders tied to your habits. You may be asked to sign in again recently before deletion for security (Firebase requirement).

Option B — Email deletion request

If you cannot access the app, you may request complete data deletion by emailing:

support@ritualistsystem.com

Use the email subject line: Data Deletion Request

Please include:

  • The email address linked to your Ritualist account
  • A brief statement that you want all account and associated data permanently deleted

We will verify ownership of the account and complete deletion within a reasonable period (typically within 30 days), unless a longer period is required by law. We may retain minimal information only where required for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.

10. Medical disclaimer

Not medical advice Ritualist is a productivity and habit-tracking tool. It is designed to help you organize daily actions, rituals, and personal goals.

Ritualist is not:

  • A medical device or diagnostic tool
  • A substitute for professional medical, psychiatric, psychological, or therapeutic advice, diagnosis, or treatment
  • An emergency or crisis service

Always seek advice from qualified health professionals for medical or mental-health concerns. Never disregard professional advice because of something in the app. If you are in crisis, contact local emergency services or a crisis helpline in your region.

11. International transfers

We and our service providers (including Google and RevenueCat) may process data in countries other than your own, including the United States. We take steps consistent with applicable law for cross-border transfers.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. We will post the new version with an updated effective date on this page and, where required, provide additional notice in the app or by email.
